Introduction
This Privacy Notice explains how WildfireSight Inc. ("WildfireSight", "we", "us") collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with our websites (wildfiresight.com) and our WebGIS application (wfs-aui-dev.hb.hn) (together, the "Services"). "Personal Data" means information that identifies or can be linked to an identifiable individual when such information is protected under applicable data protection laws.
Applicability & Roles
We act as a controller when we determine the purposes and means of processing, such as for site analytics, account signup, and support requests. When our customers upload or manage data inside the WebGIS on their behalf, we usually act as a processor or service provider and process that data only under our agreement with the customer.
Information We Collect
- Account & Contact Data: name, email, organization, password (hashed), role, and preferences.
- Billing Data: billing address and payment information handled by our payment processor. We store only limited billing metadata such as last 4 digits and expiry.
- Communications: emails, support messages, and survey responses.
- Usage & Device Data: IP address, device or browser type, pages viewed, events, error logs, and approximate location or time zone.

- Customer Data: geospatial layers, assets, and other content customers store in the WebGIS, processed under our agreement as a processor or service provider.
How We Use Information
- Provide, secure, and maintain the Services, including authentication, performance, debugging, and support.
- Analyze aggregate usage to improve reliability, speed, and user experience.
- Send service communications such as account or security notices. You cannot opt out of essential service emails.
- Subject to your preferences and applicable law, send product updates or marketing communications. You can opt out.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements and policies.
Sharing
- Service Providers: hosting, analytics, customer support, email delivery, payment processing, and security.
- Affiliates and transaction counterparties: as part of corporate reorganizations.
- Legal: to comply with law or protect rights, safety, and security.
- We do not sell Personal Data. We do not run third-party ads on the WebGIS.
Cookies & Your Choices
We use strictly necessary cookies for secure login and core functionality. With your consent, we may use optional performance cookies for analytics, functional cookies for preferences or widgets, and marketing cookies. You can control these in Cookie Settings. We honor supported browser signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) by disabling optional cookies by default when GPC is detected.
International Transfers
We may process data in Canada, the United States, or other countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Security & Retention
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect Personal Data. No system is perfectly secure. We retain Personal Data as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent. To exercise rights, contact us at privacy@wildfiresight.com. If your data is controlled by a WildfireSight customer using our WebGIS, please contact that customer directly.
Children
Our Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their Personal Data.
Changes
We may update this Notice from time to time. We will post updates here and update the "Effective" date above.
